Hi all..I have about 20 miles on mine so far..Im breaking the motor in nice and easy..by the book.  I did all the mods that i saw here on the web site.  Just waiting on the improved sprocket.  I put some wire extensions on the battery so i can put a charge on it without removing the battery every time.  Im using 92 octane with 10percent ethanol and an octane booster.. Best would be 92 octane clear(no ethanol)..  I will eventually use this,,it just requires some travel to get to..  Its a solid ride and gets ALOT of looks.  It just requires a bit adjustment to get it just the way you want.  Happy trails- Joel  ok..i am having trouble posting a picture–due to my lack of computer savvy.

Are you running the battery that came with the bike?

Yes.  Im using the battery that came with the bike.  I put it on a trickle-charger untill it wasnt drawing anymore before i used it.  It holds a charge well.  I was gone 3 weeks, came home and it fired right up in a 30 degree garage.

Hawdy,
Great news on the ride. If I were you I would invest in a dry gel battery at your earliest convenience. Unless they have improved chineese voltage.

Thanks for the info.  I will swap it out with a more modern battery the minute the one that came with it shows signs of wanting to be pushed home..

If that's the one you want. I'm running a 32 on my demo bike but I feel that is a bit extreme. 36 or 37 are good choices.

Depends on how fast you want to go.  Smaller means more top speed and less get up and go.  Seems like a 36 is the right size.

I got the sprocket a couple weeks back..looks fine..Im gonna get started on installing it today.  After I post this Im gonna read some of the posted info regarding replacement.  The weather here has been nasty.  I havent had the bike back out of the garage.  So far only 31 miles on it..  I start it up all the time however and run it just long enough to get it nice and warm.  I changed the oil and cleaned the filter element. Just a few tiny specks of metal and what looked like plastic in the strainer. Easiest and cheapest oil change ever! I will make a video with the bike out on the highway after i get the sprocket in (and when it stops raining).

Ok..got the sprocket on.  Tire comes off easy.. Removed 4 chain-links w/chain separator(spreader).  Huge improvement in performance..  It actually turned out to be a sunny day yesterday..Took the bike out for the longest ride yet..Its by far the best modification you can make to this bike. Stopped to get gas..Someone pulled up beside me and asked if it was an old Triumph..feature=player_detailpage

Hawdy…

Very nice.

A chain tensioner would not only look good but it will straighten out all that slop in the chain. :)

Just saying.

Cool
