Hello peoples. I am a new rider. Was looking at a Honda Rebel for my first bike but stumbled upon a 2008 Lifan LF200iii that I couldn't pass up (only had 6 mi on it @ a great price).  I've already put over 200 mi on it in the last few weeks mostley back and forth to work) and so far it has been a great bike to start on. Now I am looking forward to making a few modifications and making the bike that much better!

Smaller rear sproket for starters!  That rear sprocket will do more than you think cause this is, after all, a duel sport engine.

Congrats on the new ride!Cool

welcome, good to see another person from AR. Im not sure where you are, but the guys at the Kawasaki dealership and Cycle Gear here in Little Rock have been super supportive about helping me find things that will fit my '07 lifan, just as a heads up.

one thing i see in the pic you posted, your tires look a lot like mine do, ie 4-5 year old original factory tires. i know this was a big part of myself laying over my bike back in august. just my 2cp, knock out the rear sprocket mod and pick up a new rear tire at the same time. Almon threw up some good information about both of those for me in a different thread here, http://china-moto.com/cm/china…..and-tires/

gratz on the bike man, good to have you here

I have a cheap Duro rear tire on my back of my LF200. It is worlds better than the stock POS.
